$245 seems like a lot for a souvenir bat chip.

The Wagner is sick though.

no actually last one sold for 350, and the bat was found at his estate......you find something closer to an authentic josh gibson bat card smart one :D

I'm not disputing the going rate, I'm just saying it's a ridiculous amount for what amounts to a piece of wood that Gibson owned (and didn't use).

Not to be a smart ass but how do you know he did???

That is the issue with game used cards...you dont really ever know.

With this card in particular. It is widely held belief that the bat Topps used was a game model but never used. Topps won't even say it was game used.

why dont you get it "authenticated" by Beckett and see if it comes back "authentic"

well it would obviously come back authentic, because there going to grade the card

I knew that when i bought it, but to me it was worth it considering it was found at his estate and he most likely held it at one time haha, and the storys of him have always intrigued me so its as close as it gets for a josh gibson game used and im happy with it :D

I'm sure he bought the card, not the little piece of wood in it. If he did better than going rate I think it's a great deal no matter what because you can't get any closer to a 100% known game used bat card of Gibson.

if you could stay out of my threads miguel that would be great..

laneyb and tony...thanks alot for the comments

jetsrule4...thanks and yeah you just have to deal with it sometimes haha

hofautos...i remember seeing that end for 450, i was watching it and it went out of my price range, thats why i was pretty happy to get this for what i did..

so here is the question should i get it graded in just the authentic case so i have something to put it in, i literally have no clue any type of hard case that will fit this thing.
