I'm looking for legit ideas. No, I'm not using them or anything like that. Just for conversation sake. I'll even give a prize to what I think is the best idea.

If it is too outlandish, it's cut. Nothing like 4 hofer patch autos / box for 50 bucks.

Come with solid ideas. New ideas. It's 1230 in the morning. I want ideas that keep me awake.

Prize will be sent to winner next Friday on the 18th. Make the product something you'd buy and you think others would buy and still make a profit for the company and a good buy for yourself.

Contrary to popular belief, I do like people's ideas that aren't mine.

I hope this is what you mean...and thanks for the contest. It was fun to dream.

Product Name - Super Bowl Heroes (a high end product)

The base set would consist of shots of player highlight moments from various Super Bowls. Such as James Harrison (eww) on his touchdown run.

Insert Sets :
Born Leaders - A set highlighting the guys who hold the record for various stats in a Super Bowl, such as the rushing leader and passing yards leader.

Valiant Efforts - An insert set highlighting some of the greats who didn't win the title, but put on a hell of a show or effort. A name that comes to mind could be Kevin Dyson.

Autograph Set - Hardware Heros, which would be an autograph set picturing stars of the winning teams throughout Super Bowl history hoisting the Lombardi trophy.

Memorabilia Set - Super Matchups, a set highlighting a player from each of two opposing teams. Such as Hollywood Henderson on one side, Terry Bradshaw on the other.

Auto/Memorabilia Set - Forever Immortalized, a set with a jersey swatch and autograph of various players who appeared in Super Bowls.

And of course a card with 24 autos on it, all on card! (Just kidding on that part ;) )

I would love to see a set like Razor Oval Office where everything is a 1/1, and there are very few cases made.

I would also probably call it something like "Player's Collection" or something similar, so lets go with that.

Here is what it would be:

1. Chest Logos - cards featuring the entire logos from the chests of the jerseys, duals and quads as well.

2. Team Logos - cards featuring the tiny team logo from the backs of the jerseys.

3. Shoulder Numbers - cards featuring as much of the shoulder number as could fit into a card, has autograph parallels

4. Nameplates - cards featuring entire letters from the nameplates, with auto parallel

5. Logomen - signed, with duals and quads

6. Signed HELMET pieces - a la Exquisite a few years back, with team logos. Players sign on the GU helmet pieces which are embedded into the cards

7. Signed shoulder pad pieces - game used pads, signed on the equipment.

8. Commemorative Patch Cards - Cards with entire commemorative patches from GU jerseys

9. Gridiron Trailblazers Jersey Cuts - Cuts from deceased players with multicolored patches. Duals included.

10. Epic Enshrinement - Cards featuring entire HOF classes on one auto card

11. Uniform Greatness - Cards featuring the logomen of one player from Helmet, Jersey and Pants w/ autograph

Man, how awesome would this set be, even though it would be like 1000 bucks a box.

I think a cool product would be something like "At the game" set.

Have a card that featured an autographed ticket stub from some of last years memorable games and the players who made the memories.

Autographed Ticket stub from some of the seasons biggest games:
Sep 7, 2008 - ATL vs. Lions Michael Turner rushing yds in a single game (Team Record)
Sep 21, 2008 - MIA vs NE - Ronnie Brown has 5 TDs

You could have an autographed ticket stub + GU material from Santnio Holmes at the Super Bowl

Etc....

I think it would be cool if they could take the breathe right strips or the under the eye black patches and have game used cards of them. Maybe call the set "Performance Enhancers". I think the name would be kinda funny!

I think they could just make a card of every Buffalo Bills player from the 90s to fill this set!

Some pretty cool ideas in here so far.

Since O-line never gets any love, I would like to see multi autos with all 5 players from a teams O-line on one card.

Autos from all eleven starting defenders from a team on one card. That would be nuts.

I actually love my Dan Morgan autod stub (except that it's a sticker ::facepalm:: ) and my Reggie Wayne stub. I want to pick up the rest of the Canes from the set.

I am a big fan of the sets that feature players who seldom get cards. I liked things like Topps Fan Favorites, UD Legends, etc. where there were some great names who get no hobby love. Perhaps this makes for a hard to market product to those who live and die by the hits, but to me this is a hobby. The hobby needs to reflect the sport fans, not the prospectors every now and then.

My set concept: NFL Franchises

Base set - contains 6 players who personified each team. A few current players (moreso of course for newer franchises), but alot of historical names. To throw a few examples at you; Bears- Walter Payton, Dick Butkus, Ed Spinkle, Doug Atkins, Sid Luckman, Jim McMahon. Bills - O.J. Simpson, Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Steve Tasker, Bruce Smith, Bubba Smith. I am just spitballing names. They would be open for deliberation. The intention would be to include some seldom offered names when possible. Set would have a throwback appearance and try to utilize action shots as possible. Perhaps from particular career best games where the particular stats from that game could be reference on the back.

Insert sets - featuring other quirky fan favorites, hi's & lo's where it shows some best team moments and worst team moments, famous draft picks, famous founders (coaches, owners, etc.), head to head matchups with division rivals, team connections with QB/WR or any positional pairings, etc.

Memorabilia & auto cards - obviously a full parallel of the base set would likely be impossible. The base set could be completely determined based on what memorabilia is available and for autos who is able to contribute. For some deceased names used memorabilia and autos as available. Have the parallel set a mix of both so that one could complete a very attractive base set with jersey/ball/auto cards. Perhaps another insert auto set of famous franchise cut autos which would give the hit factor to those that need it.

I liked the Idea of the Baseball product Documentary. Until it came out. I think the set would fit Football more. 16 Cards per Team rather than 100+. Have the shots be from the actual game depicted, and maybe variations due to multiple happenings in certain games. Also a couple insert sets, and auto and 2 gu per box. For medium price so people like me could afford it. Set collectors team and player collectors alike would love it If done right.
