I figured I'd track my progress in this thread just for fun. I really like this set. The base design is different than everything else in the last few years, and the insert sets have a real nice mix of past stars, legends, and current players. All the autos are on card, and there are only 2 1/1's in the entire set so there is a somewhat legitimate chance I could complete the set.

the majestic signatures is a SWEET set, alot of good names in it, the iverson may cost you a pretty penny though, one of his first on card autographs since like the late 90's and its out of 25, with that said i may even try picking up the iverson, looks real nice

after looking at some prices alot of the shortprint majestic signatures look high,could just be because it just came out but i see a oscar robertson at 80 with time left and nash at 50 with time left

There are a few cards that I'm sure will be pricey. Obviously the Kobe auto will be up there, and some of the SP's and HOFers will be fairly expensive. I'm sure the patches numbered to 5 or to 10 of guys like Kobe and Lebron will get up there too.

I've been picking up a lot of the low to mid end stuff first since there have been a bunch of sellers that opened a lot of this product. Buying a lot from each one saved a ton on shipping. As I get the low end stuff out of the way I'll really focus on the high end stuff, which will make it more of a long term project.

I'm also worried about the two Aaron Brooks patches that are 1/1's. I don't know if there are any other set collectors or big time Brooks collectors that will drive those prices up.

yeah to be honest the kobe is looking like the best buy, being numbered out of 199 really helps that...you will be able to get all the cards for alot less once its been out awhile so i think its a good idea to pickup up the low to mid end stuff first, There are some aaron brooks collectors over on hobbykings but i dont see them going to big for 4th year card of him so i dont think you will have any trouble, only one that will be a real expensive one is the iverson, he has so many collectors and /25 on card isnt going to help, theres one with 8 days left already at 40

I'm still only paying 3-5 dollars on low end rookie autos and $1-3 on super star jersey cards. The difference is I can pick them up from one seller who combines shipping instead of individually for $1 for the card and $3 shipping. I'm saving up to $2.50 a card on shipping and they don't have that much room to drop.

Anyway, in a related note, one of the two Brooks 1/1's was listed auction style with a starting price of 99.99. Currently no bidders with 19 hours left. So now the question is, do I approach the seller about an off ebay deal, bid on the auction, or see if it doesn't sell and try and get it for cheaper when it is relisted?

Thanks for looking. I don't know what they cost in 95, but I can imagine they've gone way up. I've been going the all singles route, so luckily I haven't had to pay pack prices.

On a side note, I just worked out a deal for the 1/1 Brooks patch. Cheaper than the $100 listed, but still probably overpriced. Although, getting one of only two 1/1's in an entire product for less than the price of a box isn't too bad. Now if I can track down the other I'll know my project can at least be completed.

the more and more i see the majestic signatures the more players i dont expect to be in it pop up, just seen a mcgrady auto in his knick uni, im guessing his only one in a knick uniform

I've come across the Pippen and Chris Andersen in the last week. Two guys that don't have many autos out there. It's definitely a nice mix of players in the set.
