I took these 13 cards to the Chicago Sun-Times show back in November, and got them back slabbed today. I'm not a real believer in grading, but I did want these protected in slabs and was curious what they'd grade.
Crusade Greens: These were both solid 9.5's - with all 9.5 subs on each card. Couldn't ask for more.
Crusade Purples: It's becoming apparent that Purples are the hardest to get good grades on. 8.5's are kind of disappointing. Edges and corners were the downfall.
Crusade Reds: A solid 9 and very happy with a 9.5 red.
Crusades Call to Arms Rainbow:
These were the unreleased "backdoored" prototypes, that may be 1/1's. Got 9.0's across the board on them.
My 2007 Lars Davis Bowman Chrome Rainbow: Fitting that since these are all serial numbered 1/X (1/1, 1/5, 1/25, 1/50) that they all got the same grade too. I bought the Red in a holder. I submitted the other three in this order. A nice 9.5 rainbow! Now if only the blue 1/200 would show up...
2001 Fleer EX Behind the Numbers Auto: This was Grace's first certified auto. Only 17 were made. I picked up my 3rd about a year ago. I had the first two slabbed several years ago (the 8.5 was first, then the 9). Very happy that this 3rd submission came back a 9.5, the best of the bunch!
Overall I'm pleasantly pleased, and very relieved to have them back in my hands! Thanks for looking. Sorry scans are a little blurry, my home scanner doesn't do well on slabbed cards that are lifted off the glass.
