The one card I wanted out of this year's Allen & Ginters. I thought if I could find the one numbered to Grace's jersey #, that would be sweet. Luckily, it showed up and I won it yesterday.

Very nice. Tempted now to find the 23, if it hasn't already shown up.

Yeah, I was high on him back in the day. Fortunately that didn't extend too far into my buying habits. Although I did get a RC Gold Refractor for about $40, they peaked right at $200 and now one is going unsold repeatedly at $10.

Looked him up when I made the purchase, he's got a 2.72 ERA for the Red Sox AAA team and in a bit of sad news, lost an infant son during Spring Training this year.

The 3rd place bid was $20 and looking at finished auctions it's on the low end for a Jersey/Auto plate.

When I saw it I decided it was time for me to win my first GU/Auto Plate and figured Hill would the best of combination of liking the player/cheap.

In other news, I won this recently (for under $3 dlvd) and was looking at adding some other jumbo cards to my collection for some more variety. Does anyone know of some jumbo sets with Cubs players in them? Would really like to find an autographed jumbo card if there are any.

Nice Rich Hill! I don't know why I don't have much stuff of his since he was a Cub and went to college at Michigan. Missed a nice 1/1 auto for $20 last year or a year and a half ago too.

Didn't see this post. Looked on ebay, there's a nice Kaline that is has an auto on the bat piece but there's no mention of it being game used. A autographed game used piece of jersey/bat would be awesome.

As for some of my recent pick ups...a Derrek Lee collector was selling a ton of stuff last week, passed on most of the plates but picked up these cards:
