So why is Cueto being singled out?? Are we a bitter Cardinals fan?? If Molina hadn't ran his mouth it wouldn't have been an issue!!
Push a man against a fence like that and he is bound to fight and protect don't you think??

0 GAMES

Molina running mouth

15 games before reduction......he will miss two starts after the appeal.

Baseball fights are the lamest thing ever. 2 guys are in in each other's faces so let's empty the entire dugout AND bullpen? So stupid. It's like the Revolutionary War to me.. Let's all line up across from each other and wait for somebody to get antsy and take a swing. Should have just let Yadi and Phillips fight or let them keep talking until one of them got tired.

Suspension or not, I can't say I agree one way or the other. I don't think Cueto was "attacking" with his cleats. He may have been kicking, but I don't think he made a decision "hey, I have these metal things I can use to **** someone up with, so better git ta kickin'!"

I'd be willing to bet he feels bad that he didn't consider he had his cleats on, but I bet he's enough of a punk to say that would isn't sorry he was kicking in the first place.

I just think that all players need to be smart enough beforehand to realize that kicking someone with metal spikes isn't even an option. Have to be intelligent enough to not let that happen. If a football player intentionally spiked someone in the face on neck, Goodell would **** them up with an epic suspension I believe. That kind of thing shouldn't be tolerated. You say he didn't make the decision to **** someone up with the cleats, but thinking about it ahead of time or not is really irrelevant, he should automatically KNOW ahead of time that kicking someone, especially high, is a huge no-no, because if the damage that could be done. How about trying to throw a punch and be a man. Yes, we all know that baseball fights are lame, no punches are ever thrown, no punches were being thrown during this brawl, only one player spiking people above the waste. And to everyone saying Cueto was pressed up against the fence and defending himself, come on, it was HIS OWN TEAMMATES around him when he got pushed up against the fence in the first place, so it wasn't like LaRue, Carpenter and everyone else had him by his collar pushing him against the fence.

I just don't like the idea of ANY player just getting a slap on the wrist for doing something that could potentially end someone's career, and that includes intentionally head hunting, throwing a bat at someone, spiking someone in the face, etc.

Put me in the minority here I guess, but if you're going to fight during a baseball brawl, do it like a man and use your fists like Nolan Ryan and the real players of the past would do. Don't be a little bitch and cleat someone in the face.

I agree that Cueto shouldn’t have been kicking. It’s like charging the mound and bringing your bat. You just don’t do it. That said MLB has a long history of hanging out light suspensions. Heck Sosa was only given 8 games for using a corked bat. Cueto will probably appeal and get it knocked down to 5 games. Really all of this could’ve been prevented if Larussa and Baker had been focused on defusing the situation instead of getting in each other’s face. I’m not sure which of those two I dislike more but I would’ve liked to have seen them knock each other out.
