Curt Schilling on "Jose Canseco admitted he cheated his entire career," Schilling said. "Everything he ever did should be wiped clean. I think his MVP should go back and should go to the runner-up."

Curt Schilling on Roger Clemens:
"So as a fan my thought is that Roger will find a way in short order to organize a legal team to guarantee a retraction of the allegations made, a public apology is made, and his name is completely cleared," Schilling wrote. "If he doesn't do that then there aren't many options as a fan for me other than to believe his career 192 wins and 3 Cy Youngs he won prior to 1997 were the end. From that point on the numbers were attained through using [performance-enhancing drugs]. Just like I stated about Jose [Canseco], if that is the case with Roger, the 4 Cy Youngs should go to the rightful winners and the numbers should go away if he cannot refute the accusations." (Source)

Curt Schilling on Rafael Palmeiro:
“The year he tested positive, nothing he did that year should count, which I think would take away 3,000 hits for him.” (Source)

Curt Schilling on Barry Bonds:
"If you get caught using steroids, you should have everything you've done in this game wiped out for any period of time that you used it," Schilling said. "A lot of players, I think, have said as much because it is cheating."

Curt Schilling on whether Boston's accomplishments should be judged differently:
This makes me laugh. I have already seen the bandwagon fans start the *04 and *07 threads and remarks, people with teams who are far deeper into this than most other teams — as if this makes it all OK. Every team going back 10-15 years needs an * if you want to consider giving it to anyone.

Re-read the quotes. It's pretty obvious that Schilling is not saying that Clemens is okay. As he said, if it is found that Clemens used steroids when he won his awards, he should have to give up everything too.

Below photo, bro.

Yea, I saw it.

He says individual achievements should be wiped, yet saying you can't take team achievements away because every other team was doing it. Doesn't seem hypocritical to me, and actually makes a ton of sense. I'd think the same if it was about the yankees, cardinals, phillies or whoever else. Prove to me that an entire team was clean and I'll give them the title.

Not everyone... I absolutely despise changing names like that. So unoriginal and lame. You'll never once hear me say New York Spankees, Aroid, Stray-Rod, Los Angeles Fakes, etc...

Yea, I didn't bother reading the rest of the article after seeing the source and figuring it would be biased or spinning the quotes. All I can say is, Ortiz is a friend of his. I'll give you it's hypocritical to not say his accomplishments should be wiped clean as he did with everyone else, but I see why he would take an easier stance with him. I'm a loyal person and wouldn't talk smack about my friends even if they did something dumb like that. As far as the quote about the 04 and 07 series, I agree 100% with him and I don't think there is any hypocrisy in it.

That's one of the great and worst parts of schilling. He doesn't give a **** if he gets ripped. I think it's refreshing to hear an athlete give a real honest answer instead of the manufactured sound bytes we usually get. I also see the other side where people think he does it too often or tends to overstep his bounds. To each his own.

How can NOT saying something be hypocritical? NOT saying something simply means he didn't say anything. If he SAID Ortiz should keep all his stats and accomplishments, THAT would be hypocrisy.

So far, it looks like no Yankees have used steroids during any of their WS wins. MAYBE Clemens did in 2000, but that would be it. I'm pretty sure Pettite started using later than then.

It's on a Yankees website so you're right, but what they are getting at is him coming out with strict penalties for everyone else and only saying "you decide" for Ortiz. They would have liked him to say that all his stats should be wiped clean too.

That is incredibly naive to believe that.

I never said I believed that, but so far nothing has come out to prove it otherwise. Until there is proof, the 2000 WS has to be considered clean. That's the same as 04 and 07 Red Sox until Manny/Ortiz got caught.
