In 50 years people will say, hey there is the sock that was worn the last time the Red Sox won the world series.

For anyone who is interested in buying a bloody sock, I have some josh Hamilton game used dip. It's been preserved and still wet! It's like having it come straight from his mouth!! Contact me if interested......

Seriously whoever buys this bloody sock has some problems IMO. I understand the significance of it, but come on how are you going to display a bloody sock?? Walk into a frame store and say I need you to frame this bloody sock for me lol.

I didn't read the auction notes but does anyone know if the winning will be going to any sort of charity?

I hope that the sock comes with DNA proof its his blood..

with the way he robbed RI I wouldn't be surprized if this was just another hoax to make some money.

Would I buy the sock? No. But buying game used memorabilia is not my cup of tea. But anyone here bashing potential buyers for getting a SIGNIFICANT piece of history of the game we all love just doesn't get it. It is no different if someone bought a jersey or pants or cleats and later found out there was a little blood on it.

While the blood on the sock is what makes it famous - they are not buying the sock solely because it has Curt Schilling's blood on it - they are buying the sock for the historical significance.

It is probably going to the, help Curt Schilling get out of bankruptcy charity....also, it has to be against some law to sell items that have infectious bio-hazard potential, a bloody sock could contain bloodborne pathogens.....

I didn't read the auction notes but does anyone know if the winning will be going to any sort of charity?

My first reaction is WTF... I don't think of it as being some historic piece... maybe for a personal collector of his or a huge Red Sox fan but seriously??? How much do you all think it'll go for?

Why do I clearly remember this cry baby claiming the Yankee clubhouse crew threw this sock away after the game? Why do I have a feeling someone drew blood to create this sock? After all what about that teammate claiming it was all a PR stunt by him?
