ESPN reports that the Bears just acquired Jay Cutler.

Pretty crazy to think that when Cutler throws his first pass...he'll be arguably the greatest quarterback in the Bears history. Well, outside of Sid Luckman I guess.

haha, Cutler can't be happy. The Broncos were a playoff contender and I wouldn't say the Bears have the additional talent

The Washington Examiner is reporting that the Redskins are close to completing a deal for Jay Cutler.
The story has not been confirmed elsewhere. It's uncertain how credible it is, but ESPN.com has already cited the story. Once source told the Examiner that the 'Skins had been replaced as the favorites only to go back on top a few minutes later, presumably because they had topped the other offer. ESPN.com was told by a high-ranking Redskins official that "nothing has been completed," which would seem to indicate that talks are serious.

I disagree. The Bears have been a marginal offense away from big seasons for a long time.

Kyle "flippin" Orton got them to a Super Bowl...I think Cutler is a huge upgrade.

The Bears truly have had the single greatest drought at quarterback for decades.

While the Broncos have more talent at the WR position the only reason they are "playoff contenders" is because they play in the worst division in football. The Bears ended up winning more games than the Broncos anyway.
