Kent State beat Oregon in game 1. Stony Brook and LSU play the decisive game 3 tonight at 8 pm est. UCLA and Arizona are in the CWS.

jw, but what are your thoughts on the interference? I think by the rule it probably was, but I have never seen one called when the players feet went straight into the bag and the throw was still good. I'm glad we bounced back from that, but you rarely see that call when in the basepath.

Sorry Brad, I didn't see that play so i am not sure what the right call was. I have seen a player slide into 2b, with both feet hitting the bag, but his arms were up in the air trying to dirupt the throw. That was called interference.

Jonathan Crawford vs. Carlos Rodon was an excellent pitcher's duel - until Mother Nature intervened.

Sure hope this delay doesn't take long, or else NC State is screwed.

At least a 30 minute delay for lightening. And it resets each time there is another strike. I'd guess they are done. Unfortunately.

Very true. With as much pitching depth as UF has....Rodon HAS to continue in this game or NCSU is done.

Congrads to Florida State......Hopefully Mike Martin can finally get that CWS title he deserves. I'll be rooting for them as always, but without the sexy star power of the other teams they'll have to continue to pitch well, play defense, and get those timely hits to make a run in Omaha.

And while we're congradulating teams, why not give a shoutout to Travis Jankowski and Stony Brook. Could they be the second #4 regional seed to win it all?

We could be seeing 2 first-timers in Omaha if Kent State can hold onto their current lead - Kent State and Stony Brook. Pretty cool.
