I don't know how much more of this season I can take. Dan Haren has been given 1 run of support in 3 starts. That's disgusting.

Of interest...in 2005, Roger Clemens ended the season with a 1.87 ERA and a 13-8 record, and one of those wins came in relief.

Amazing right? And consider this...5 of those losses were 1-0. All told, Clemens didn't receive a single run in 10 of his 32 starts that season.

So sure, Haren has it bad...but at least it's only his third start. Let's reconvene after 29 more starts and then discuss.

That season is the reason why the W-L statistic is a joke. Everytime I here the mention of W-L, I think Roger Clemens in Houston.

I'll take the blame for this one. I drafted Johan as my #1 pitcher last season, I cursed him and his W's by doing that.

This year I waited a bit longer and drafted Haren in later rounds as my #1 pitcher hoping I'd lift the curse....well you see what the product has been

low era, low whip, no wins

Ouch he has been dominate too this year. 17 Ks to 3 walks...He is still my pick for the Cy this year though. Mean while Oswalt has received ONE run of support in three starts. No wonder he's struggling, he's trying to be Superman out there.

Danny should be traded home to the Cardinals.

I would literally crap my pants if that happened. Then I would take pictures to show you.

I would be so happy.

Well I just found a stat that made me sick. Both Oswalt and Haren have one run in support in 19 IP apiece. Haren having the better season so far, but I'm sure both are struggling mentally.

They both deserve better from the offense, but I want Haren to get the better before Oswalt. He ain't in the Central!

No doubt...especially when Cueto gives up 6 walks, and the best they can muster is a bases loaded walk to score. That run was the first Oswalt got all year. Meanwhile I thought Haren would get much better support. Who knew the Padres would be the best team in the West so far...

No season compares with Nolan Ryan's 1987 season in terms of poor run support:

1st in ERA 2.76
1st in H/9IP 6.55
1st in K/9IP 11.48
1st in Ks 270
1st in K/BB 3.10
1st in ERA+ 142
3rd in WHIP 1.139
5th in Cy Young Voting

He finished 8-16.

I don't think Dan would want you pant crapping.

Just doesn't seem like something he'd be into.

Meanwhile, check out his Uncirculated /25 Topps Traded Chrome Xfractor

(six times more rare than his Bowman Chrome Gold Refractor Rc)
