Agreed. This is perhaps the worst "hof'er?" thread I have ever read! He could have been on 10+ WS champion teams and would still not make it. A good pitcher with moments of brilliance, but falls WAY short of being anything close to a HOF pitcher.

And this is coming from a Mets fan who loved David!

Who knows with the BBWAA, With all the layoffs and dying newspapers....We see what happened with a few guys people didnt think deserve it recently...I think we will be seeing a players getting in because of new writers taking over because of consildation at papers...They really dont have to follow the teams and watch other players in the league like before..Writers traveled with teams and that doesnt happen much anymore...That will hurt HOF voting for years to come..Look for a lot more players getting in based on the recollections of a NFL or NBA writer, Just because he remembers a few box scores and nothing else....
