I haven't kept good track of USA autos as I typically don't purchase them, but I had an opportunity to pickup a green ink auto at what I thought was a fair price. The card I purchased was a David Price green ink auto #d 1/2. Now, my question is, what do you think is a fair price for this card currently and what do you think the ceiling is for it?

Haha, how much did it set you back on COMC? My bro was looking at the same card and, ironically, asked the same question on FCB like a week ago.

That is the one, but I cannot disclose what I paid for the card right now as I do not want to influence the feedback from others.

All right, fair enough. If you don't mind, could you please PM me the #? If not, that's fine too. I'm just curious to see what the seller ended up taking for it.

I thought it was overpriced even if he accepted a 50% offer. I don't know what the highest a green has sold for. Its a sweet card though. And yes, this same question was asked about a week ago on here.

The greens don't sell for anywhere in the neighborhood of the superfractor or even black elite 1/1 auto prices.

I would think at auction it would finish around 400-500

Ceiling has come and past on this card unfortunately. Can't see it reaching the levels again of his pre-call up hype, unless he throws a no-no this year.
Congrats on the addition. I'd put $200-$300 on it to stash in the Price PC.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It looks like I paid right around what this thing should sell for (in others' estimation) so I am happy with that. It sure beats the 20% cashout fee.

I look for cards that I can sell for a slight profit or even breaking even after shipping and ebay fees to try to avoid the 20% as well. It was a very nice card, I noticed it was gone, and felt a little bit of remorse not going after it.

I've got one of those too - it's staying put unless he becomes one of the best pitchers in MLB within 3 years or so and his stuff gets Lincecum-hot.

Well, I guess if either of us gets the itch to have both of them we know where to look!

Definitely not the high end caliber of a Price first year Green, but here are my Greens of O's & guys I collect.
( Still looking for that elusive Arrieta!! )

(Just came in yesterday, still waiting on the scan from the wife)

Just realized yours is the jersey/auto version where mine does not have the jersey swatch. Still would be cool to put the two together, lol.
