I doubt it changes anything in regards to Scherzer. They can still trade price and make a play for scherzer or keep price and still make a play for scherzer. Makes no difference IMO. Scherzer is one of those players that wants a huge player but IMO hasn't been close to an ace or what not. I would give him a 100 million deal; 200 million? No way.
