Wright use to be/is a great guy. When he played with the Cap City Bombers in Low A he would get to know the fans at the stadium and the fans at the away stadium. I was lucky enough to get to know him when he played against Augusta. A really decent, level headed guy. Glad to see he still is fan friendly

he told me one time he loved Atlanta. He was suppose to play for Tech. I think he donated some $$ to the baseball team too

Wouldn't that be a dream come true. Amen Brother.. Let's get a petition started and sent to the Mets. They can have Schafer, Delgado and Conrad.

Kudos to Wright!

Despite many not having success with him he did sign and return a TTM I sent a few years back. Many claimed it was a ghost signer, but it looks to be the real deal comparing to authentic autographs I have.

That's really cool! I love seeing stuff like that. I remember at a Phillies/Reds Spring Training game in 08 in Sarasota, Ryan Howard was playing "Name That Tune" with the songs being played over the PA with the fans in the section right above the Phils (visiting) dugout. Thanks for sharing!

David Wright just went up about 20 notches in my book. That's just a cool gesture.

Awesome gesture by a great player. Those kids won't forget it.

I wish more players would do this. It reminds me of the time Mattingly helped himself to a young fan's popcorn while everyone else was watching a foul ball. He gave chase to the ball but when he realized it was in the stands he reached into the popcorn bag and the kid turned around and had the deer in the headlights look. I became an instant Mattingly fan!

if more players would do something like that.. even small gestures, there would more baseball fans, and kids would be more interested.
