if he can play more consistent defense (which is an issue for him) and continue to hit well, he can defiantly be on the bench to start the year like Alexei last year. fields is no lock

From the Sox beat reporters, the Sox have clearly told him he will need to step up his defense before he will be in the bigs, he is happy with that and understands, and sounds like just happy he's just getting to show of his bat. You never know where he might stumble into a spot over the course of 162 game season though. I just wish Wossa wasn't snatching up the contenders.
