I think your transactions shenanigans got you in trouble. If you only ask about purchasing a card when you are serious and have the money on hand to pay and subsequently pay promptly through PayPal (don't use gift) that will earn you some good will. I know that becoming respected on here may seem like a tough mountain to climb, but you can do it. Just try to avoid Captain Kirk as you climb that mountain.

I've dealt with this guy before, seems like a good kid. Little indecisive, but hey he's young I would be too if I was his age. There is just some people that harp on him for nothing ( see above poster telling him to leave) and even he dosent deserve that...overall he made a trade with me and I had no headaches. If anything, I wish there were more collectors your age. We need younger guys in this hobby.

But seeing guys around here like magicpapa, Chris (Musial Collector) and a ton of other guys that are helpful to me, and others, I try to do what I can to help. I may not be able to do a fraction of what some of these guys do, but I do what I can.

I used to try to tread the prospect waters similar to you, but I was wrong just about every time, so I dropped it and did my own thing (player and set collecting). I kept off people's nerves that way, while still being able to be on the board. That's what I would suggest doing is working on a player or set collection.

I wasn't trying to give TB a hard time or anything, it's just... if you read his post, what he said was he quit collecting prospects because he felt like he was getting on peoples nerves. He started a player collection to please the people of FCB. I just thought it was a sad thing to have happen to him, and extra sad that he recommends that other people do it.

Although I agree 100%. :lol: About collecting cards instead of prospecting. It's just that after reading so many times in so many threads "collect what makes YOU happy" it was funny to read the opposite sentiment.
