Say "Buh Bye", Brady Quinn.

Why would they get rid of Quinn??? Delhomme will be lucky if he has 2 more years left in him. Willy Wonka called Delhomme and he said he wants his candy arm back!!!

Del-***** probably figured his best shot to ever play again would either be with the Browns or the arena league. He chose the Browns.

Maybe they have him there to mentor Quinn. One thing that many successful young QBs (though not all) have is a seasoned vet there to teach them the ropes. Aaron Rodgers had Favre, Romo had Testaverde and Bledsoe, Brady had Bledsoe, etc. Plus this might be the kick in the ass Quinn needs. With Holmgren there, there won't be the bullcrap of picking the week's starter that Thursday.

So on the surface of me saying this is a bad move, something tells me Holmgren knows what he's doing.

Well, scratch all of this that I just said. The Browns are looking to move him.

::facepalm:: Yea, the guy has started less than 10 games in his career. Quinn deserves an actual chance to start and develop.

If your old college coach is passing on you, I think it speaks volumes to your actual skill level.

The naive part of me wants to give Holmgren some blind faith. The rational part of me feels they paid starter money for a guy who likely should not be a starter anymore. I was sure he'd land somewhere as a capable veteran back up not take over an already floundering team in a rebuild process.

Delhomme's successes were a result of a take chances mentality operating on reasonable skills and game intellegence. Since his surgery his mind still conceives things his arm cannot deliver and his risks become detrimental. I don't see this working out positively for Cleveland.

Man, it must really suck to be a Browns fan. Delhomme is terrible, but at least he is a nice guy.

It's basically been this way since the NFL decided to bring back the Browns in '99 (minus the '02 season) :(

Reminds me of when the camera's picked up Steve Smith saying something like "Jake, I love you as a person but I hate you as my quarterback" on the sidelines during a game.
