Kobe ripped out Artest heart and stomped on it. Artest kept talking trash even as Kobe lit him up for 18 in the fourth. Great game though.

Yea I saw it. I can almost bet that Artest will get him back the next go around. I think Lakers were down most of the game and came back and won which is a big win to stay on pace for home court through out the playoffs.ProspectorsAdvantage said:Kobe ripped out Artest heart and stomped on it. This is something I dont get about the NBA and its fans.KOBEARODLT said:kobe is one player you do not want to make mad, he almost single handely led the lakers to victory last night.

If kobe "gets mad" and makes him so much better, why is he laying back almost every game and not giving it his all? Wouldnt you think he would intentionally make himself "mad" every night to be the best? I honestly dont hold any weight to the "I got mad so I played better" theory. If Kobe is shooting 1-19 dont you think hes pretty mad? Do we just ignore those days?
This really isnt in refrence to Kobe or any of the posters in this thread, just something that has always annoyed me.

I agree that it sounds weird, but it is very true. These guys play way too many games and in today's game you can just tell that with the amount of money they are getting paid, it is hard to get geared up night in and night out. It is usually only the superstars that can take it up to that extra gear after getting "mad" anyway. Happened to D-Wade against the Knicks a couple weeks ago, Kobe last night apparently, and look at Spike Lee firing up Reggie Miller in the 90's.
