Just wondering why his card didn't say "1st Bowman Chrome Card".

Because they're not prospects cards, they're RCs. They were made because they had played in the majors.

Because they're not prospects cards, they're RCs. They were made because they had played in the majors.
To clarify a little more, it will be a blue "First Year Card" if the player has not played in the majors yet. It will be a green card with the official RC logo if they player has played in the majors for the first time that year, or is still considered a true rookie. Sometimes, like in the case of Lincecum, the green RC is the first Bowman card. But with Lars, I guess they screwed up.
