Yes, only one game but definately not the way he wanted to make his Yankee debut.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not making any conclusions based on one bad start.

He's a beast and he'll probably still have a great season.

For the amount of money they're paying him, there's no excuse for not coming into the season ready. Hopefully, we won't see a repeat performance of last season's opening starts.

I dont think there is any reason to expect otherwise. He has started almost every season shaky, for whatever the reason. It will be all about how he handles starting slow in NY because it is much different than starting slow in CLE

I have argued with Yanks fans on the espn boards until I was blue in the face over it, but I will say it again, the Yankees spent there money foolishly with CC and Burnett. I believe Tex was a great signing and I see him putting up insane numbers, but I expect CC to have a 15-12 record with a 4.00-4.50 ERA. Last year in Cleveland wasnt just a slow start, he sustained those terrible numbers all the way through his trade to the Brewers. The AL East is a completely different animal from anything he has seen over a span of a full season. I think Burnett will be decent if he can remain healthy, but I dont expect more than 150 innings from him this year.
