Wow Chris, you got your little following. When you passing the kool-aid around?

I'm still waiting for your phone call btw. Don't think I forgot.

And for the record, Mike's email is pretty accurate from what I remember. When exactly did FreedomCardBoard.com become a business and not a collective group of individuals? Not hard to figure out.

I'm waiting for a little more of your side of the story Chris. We read Mike's, let's hear yours, publicly. The jury is still out.

It seems a lot of you are failing to give credence to the fact HE STARTED THE SITE. Now I don't really have a fact based opinion, because I am not close to either side... but it seems like MyPens66 should not have HAD to do this. Whether he is 15 years old and/or didn't have any input in the site anymore, he still started it. Without him having the idea and bringing those initial people to the new site, Chris or whoever else is involved might not have had the opportunity to be here right now or to make a penny or to have any free stuff from sponsors. It seems to me (just a non-fact based opinion), the people who profit from this site owe a portion of the proceeds and respect to whoever created the site. It doesn't matter how much of their own they put into it, they quite possibly wouldn't be here without the site creator. I still like FCB, but this is a little off-putting.

Post thanked.

Mike could have had whatever he wanted. Two days ago I instructed topps to start sending the topps promotional boxes to his house. I didn't tell him because I wanted it to be a surprise. Then he pulls this.

He DEFINITELY handled this completely wrong, but something made him do what he did. I certainly don't know what his true intentions are/were, but to lose the true founder of the site is very questionable on all fronts.

He's not the "true founder" of this site. He opened a board and when Chris proposed a better option for the members he agreed to transfer over. Chris is the founder. Plain and simple.

There is no jury. Either you use this site, or you dont. I have pretty much laid it all out there in bits and peices.

FCB is a collective group of collectors :-) nothing more. The promotional proceeds allow the site to grow. National booths in the corporate area are not cheap.

I have had VERY few conversations with him. This is all quite surprising to me. If he wanted more out of FCB, then it was up to him to make it. We have a moderator forum where we discuss ideas and welcome new ideas. He never used it.

It's certainly fishy, what he did. I'm not completely sold on the direction FCB is heading, but it is still the best trading card message board on the net. Let's just hope it stays that way. :)

I don't really see why you need Chris' "side of the story". It's not even that I am so Pro-Gilmore as it is that I thought the email was shameless and chump.

If you like FCB's product and community, whats the problem?

I don't believe that to be the case. I think he honestly feels slighted. Had he of talked to me about this, and expressed his concerns then things might be different.

See I was annoyed by the email because I like this site, and by Mike attacking it he was attacking me by association. I wasn't here from the beginning so how everything got to this point doesn't mean much in my eyes. This is THE site when it comes to the hobby (even over Beckett). I'm going to visit the other site too, but this one will always be my favorite.

Yep.

I guess you could say that Mike created the 'bridge' that brought us all back together.

Chris created this site, and put all the $ into it...he should take credit for this site. Most of us think of Mike as the founder, so I am not sure why he is being such a drama queen.

Sooo, according to you, Chris never agreed to run this site WITH MyPens66? And Chris had the idea to bring all the Beckett traffic to a new message board?

You laid all of what out there? I didn't see where you explained how the process of the move took place or how Mike was involved. It was his idea to start a new site. At some point he started getting weeded out and I'm just wondering when and why that happened. It's obvious he's very upset about it, so I need a little indulgence.

So I was browsing Mike's site and saw one member there which will make me never want to join that site:

He did on both accounts. I talked with Chris a lot during those first couple of days and he did come up with an idea, but the group had already moved. He had a board set up before Beckett collapsed that turned into this. I was one of like 10 members, nobody ever posted. So they did agree to move from Mypens boards to Chris boards.

Mypens never did anything for this site except be a member. I never saw any moderation from him and we already know that there was no money involved.

There never was a point in time where I took this site from Mike.

I was ALWAYS willing to work with him. However it was a very one sided operation with no input from him.

I'm not trying to be rude, but I don't understand what you mean. Chris did agree to run this site with MyPens?

You obviously need to get your facts straight.
