hey,
My name is Benny and some of you may remember me. My username on the old Topps boards (hope that mention doesn't get me banned lol) was cardsin06. If you knew me you know that I was and I am an Albert Pujols collector.
I took a couple years off from collecting to get married and have been happily married since Aug. 1st 2009.
I have been easing back into collecting slowly with the 2011 Topps diamond giveaway. I have completed the ring quest and am currently awaiting shipment of my ring, the 60th anny commem set and the die cuts.
Anyway, I look forward to many successful transactions here, Thank You

How's it going?

I'm not new to collecting memorabilia but fairly new to collecting game-used cards. I've collected in-person (IP) auto's for a long time. For baseball HOF'ers I get an OMLB and a photo, either 8x10 or 16x20, depending on the player. For football HOF'ers I get a mini and a photo either 8x10 or 16x20 signed like I do in baseball. From the mid to late 90's until around 2006 we did not have many show's, with signers in Upstate NY. Then a promoter from the city started doing shows up here. In September 2009 he had a Met's reunion show bomb and that was the last show he did here. I could have told him there are a lot more Yankees fans than Met fans up here. With the economy the way it is/was and for $400-$700 to have a ball/bat/jersey signed by twenty some members of the team it was a receipt for disaster. After that I started to collect game-used cards. I started on a mission to get a game-used card of every HOF'er and then in midstream I decided to get a bat and jersey of every HOF'er who had both. I do collect an occasional cert now and then..Rick

Hello, my name is Grant. I just joined the forum after finding the awesome 90s insert thread via Google. I started collecting baseball cards in 1990 as a 5 year old and collected/traded through the 90s. Didn't spend a lot, so I never hit anything too rare, but it was definitely a huge part of my childhood. My friend, who I collected with as a kid, got back into them some years back and got me back into it in 2008, where I bought a bit of Bowman Chrome and A&G. After that season I got out of the hobby again since busting wax was (for me) a waste of money and left me unsatisfied with my collection. Fast forward to a few months ago, I bought a little Topps and A&G this year but really began to refocus my collection. I had no idea how many awesome 90s cards there were.

Now I'm collecting mostly 90s Mariners (Griffey, Buhner, Johnson, E.Martinez). I'd like to collect some modern stuff, but I haven't found anything that piques my interest from this era yet.

I'm new and a huge Dale Murphy collector. Been out of the game for awhile, but getting back in with my son.

I've been on Beckett, but it seems this site gets more action.

Hey there, I just joined up!

I used to be a hardcore collector in the late 80's to mid 90's and stopped collecting all together until just last year. As an adult I was looking for something to collect again and I hadn't been following baseball as much as I used to. Until I saw 2010 Topps Allen & Ginter... I saw it at the right time, bought some packs and was back into collecting and baseball!

Luckily I was able to save all my cards I collected as kid. Most of it was WORTHLESS due to the overprinting of cards in that time, however I still had all my old pre 1980's cards like a nice stash of tabacco cards and HOF cards from the 50's - 70's. I came to find out that if I did not grab my cards out from the storage shed at the time I did, I could have LOST ALL MY CARDS due to my parents not paying the storage company. So I was lucky by taking all my cards I could find from storage at that time...

So now as an adult with some cash in his pocket I'm back in full force and heavily addicted to the high end stuff now other than Allen & Ginter! :)

Thanks for reading!
