I've made several posts already, but thought I would come in here and officially greet everyone. I love this board so far, it has become my new distraction/addiction. My ebay username is "swanssy-cards", I deal in small quantities but usually have 1 or 2 auctions going. I collect George Brett, and numerous Red Sox, currently Dustin Pedroia.

Hey everyone, just joined up a couple hours ago. Veteran of the whole youtube/blog community and was recommended to come over here by a buddy who said this is a great place to talk and collect prospects.

Currently my big project is collecting Mike Leake and other Reds prospects but I collect prospects in general (specifically Bowman Chrome, Sterling.)

Looking forward to being part of the community.

Hello guys. Just recently got back in to collecting autographed cards. Most of mine come in person at minor league ballparks or public signings. Can anyone please tell me how to put pics in my post? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I asked this once before, but forgot to write down how too.

need to post with a scan from my photobucket help.

These always come in handy...
What you will want to do is this:
1) Open up an account here: www.photobucket.com
2) Search for the pictures on your computer by clicking "Browse" on your photobucket "homepage" (the page that comes up when you log in) once you have your photobucket account.
3) Find the pictures (tip: it may be easier if you save them all in one place under a name that is easy to)
4) Click on the file name, and hit "open"
5) Once you have all of the pictures you want in the little white spaces, then click "Upload"
6) Then, look at your albums (the place where the pictures are in photobucket). If you click on a picture, there are three white bars with links in them to the bottom right of the picture. Click on the third one that says "IMG Code". It will copy automatically.
7) Then, simply paste it into the Forum where you would type a message, and they'll show up.

Hope this helped, and if not, just let me know.
Thanks,
Jake (medindians25 )

greetings and salutations... i've been reading the posts for a while s i figured i better join before i get drafted (my "stripes" reference for the day). as my sig says i collect bowman, bowman chrome baseball and the greatest hockey payer ever number 4 bobby orr (vintage stuff only from is playing days). i aso enjoy good music from my heyday, that would be the late 70s the 80s and early 90s ... and older classic rock (there is more to life than baseball cards right ?!?!?!?!?). i have a 13 yr old son who lets me open the cards and put them in their safe place and then he looks at them. he says opening them is boring as he wants to get to the end result. also look for a 2014 bowman chrome card of him. he already has an 80 ph fastball, change up and a curve that makes the best of them look weak.

i will buy/trade/sell with anyone who asks as i have other things in the old collection other than bowman and bobby orr.

see y'all on the flip side . . . . . . . . :D

I collect cards from all the different sports though mostly baseball these days. I meet lots of players from different sports so I collect autographs on their cards. Boston sports stuff, boxing stuff. Anything that really reminds me of my childhood like 70's Bruins/Red Sox/Patriots/ 80's Celtics cards. I collected as a kid from 1978-1983 (Lynn, Rose Brett & Garvey my faves) then got out of it for many years, returned in 1992 when I saw how cool the new cards looked (91 Studio? OMG so gorgeous of a set) and dove back in HARD!!

Have been upgrading and refining my collection ever since.

Just signed up, thanks, Im always interested in reading all the message boards I can and yours is very active, cool.

About me,
My name is Frank Ward and I live on Hawaii (Big Island).

I collect baseball cards (B/S/T) from the 19th Century to 1950s or so, but mostly PreWWII. And some 19th Century WildWest/Indians cards too. Been into vintage 30+ years.

I am considered a "type card" collector (specializing in the very rare and unknown).
I dont like graded cards/grading companies too much, but its something thats going to stay, like it or not.
I am also a yearly contributor to the SCD Standard Catalog in updating vintage checklists, etc.

I do like to follow the newer stuff too, but dont collect them, so Im a newbie as far as modern stuff goes.

Played some upper level baseball many years ago (Drafted 4th round Jan.1985 Expos), so have a bit of knowledge in that respect too. Lefty pitcher, mid90's, played with and against Bonds, R.Johnson, G.Vaughn, D.White, Wetteland, Jefferies, Matt Williams, etc.

Free time....I surf and play in the jungle, when not dodging lava flows.

If you ever have a question on a vintage card or even Hawaii............ Thats my specialty.

Aloha, Frank :)
