I saw this collection on TWIB about 5-7 years ago. It was awesome then.

I would love an explanation on WHY IN THE HELL PSA would put Dmitri Young's name on flip????? That is stupid. I wouldn't want a slab with his freaking name on it.

I like it. Kind of nice history foot note to the card. Knowing that it once was part of the greatest PSA 10 rookie collection ever put together. A little value add.

Maybe tbp or GC knows. What other collections has PSA put the name of it on flip? I want to say Fogel collection got the treatment.
I know it's big in coin grading to do that type of stuff.

You can pay BGS for the same service. Not sure what the big deal is. You can send it in and reslab it.

I think it's pretty cool. He's a Major Leaguer who has shown an interest in cards of other major leaguers. Yeah, that's pretty cool. If I came across a collection put together by Ripken, Griffey, Tulo....hell, even smaller names like Punto, Blauser, Giles...anybody, I think it would be cool to own a piece of their collection that they likely put a TON of money into.

Someone should make a dual cut auto card of Lionel Carter and Jefferson Burdick. I'd bet most modern collectors wouldn't recognize either of them but I think it would be cool and I think there'd be enough interest to make it pretty pricey.

Tom Candiotti at one time had a huge collection as well. He was in an issue of the SMR.

They have done the name thing for quite a while and for a few collections. I think it serves to add value knowing where the piece came from. For 5 bucks you can get it removed. I am sure to people buying PSA 10 Clemente RC's, 5 bucks isn't a big deal.
