I am in a prospecting rut right now. Don't have the time or desire to follow MILB or prices as closely as I need to. Selling off most of it and putting it into a Gallardo PC, which I am really enjoying putting together.

Maybe switch focus do a little selling and less buying??

I've been selling some stuff, but, I don't have a lot of non-PC stuff that is desired by anyone at all.

Just think how nice blue refractors will look this year with those Jays unis and maybe in 4 years they'll have Blue Jays patches in products if they ever run out of Marlins ones :)

I am in pretty much the same spot and have been for the last few months.

I just decided to collect something else in he meantime. Sneakers.

Stuff that I would not miss too much if I got rid of now is basically what I have been getting rid of to fund my new hobby. It has been refreshing to say the least.

I also collect wrestling VHS / DVD's and WWII stuff, but, again, it's rather expensive with the latter and certainly the former, as most of the stuff I don't have is well over $40 per VHS, if you can find it on the open market.

Hang in there. Most player collectors have been there. Me on multiple occasions.

My issues is that my player collections are super advanced and my want lists are short. Stuff I need rarely comes up. Then on players like Darin Erstad and Bucky Jacobsen, only a handful of items ever are listed and I usually don't need them.

I think this happens a lot with player collectors. How long can you look at the same ol' mug of the same ol' player before starting to lose your interest/sanity. It can get boring and you will always reach a point where you feel you are spinning your wheels. I say start a PSA set registry of baseball HOF rookie cards. You will be hooked as soon as you start to watch your set rise in the rankings. Plus, it's simply a great investment. Mine is probably worth double what I have put into it after only a couple years. I buy, sell and trade everything else I have and focus only on updating my registry sets as a "personal collection".

Been in that spot for a couple of months, going back to set collector/seller, since most of the latest releases haven't been too exciting as far as Cliff Lee items go. And I'm also tired of always seeing the same overpriced Prior cards over and over again.

2013 should be good though, with a very special new PC coming up :D
