As 12,13 and 14 year olds, I had the Privelege of Coaching:

Kyle Skipworth (Marlins)
Matt Lollis (Padres)
Both on the Same All-Star Teams in Jurupa Pony League, and got to watch them Play at Patriot High School in Riverside, Ca.

Both Incredible Kids with a Great Work ethic, and Wonderful Families.

In the Same Years of Coaching those 2 Great Kids, we Played against.

Tyler Chatwood out of the Redlands/East Valley area,

And Locally, we had Matt Hobgood playing 2 exits away from us in Norco. Although I don't Know Matt personally, I got to see him play quite a few games, and he seems like a nice Kid.

Steve Kline in the majors and Bobby Felmy in the minors. Neither are playing anymore.

Went to the same school as Jay Cox (Independent League) who spent 4 years in the Rockies system and Jerry Sands, who is currently in AA on the way to the show. Also casually knew Chris Archer from his Clayton days. None of them have cards or I would have cornered the market, but now I won't be able to as the latter two have established themselves as legit prospects.

nice. i havent talked to steve in a few years. last i heard was that he moved back to lewisburg when he got out of baseball.

At one point I had 10+ buddies in pro ball, but down to one, Jay BUente who was up with the Marlins earlier this year. Still have quite a few former opponents in the bigs - jake fox, JA Happ, khalil greene, nick swisher, Glen perkins, neal cotts, bobby crosby, brian bullington, among others...
