Do you say Mister if you meet a player?

I would call any HOF player Mister, but if it's a younger player, I'll just shot out their first name. I got Brandon Crawford to come over and sign my ball when I did that. :)

you gotta be careful, cuz in SF, if you call out Brandon, more than half the team will come over ;)

Never have met a player yet, but I probably would say mister if I did. I did meet Mr. T once and I called him Mister T. That's one dude I would not harass.:)

I would love to see Steve Carlton on the street and yell,"Hey 32! 32, over here!" He's a mercurial guy, I wonder what he'd do. I love Steve Carlton, BTW. Actually, I always use Mister when meeting new people and I'm trying to be a grown-up, especially people I respect. Isn't that what you're supposed to do?

I call the players [all younger] by the first name in casual way - it only backfires when I get the players' faces wrong.

Sometimes just because, I end up using Mr.

For coaches and anyone older, I use the Mr. line as a show of some respect before asking if they could sign.

Personally, anyone older I would address as "Mr." but anyone younger or around the same age I'll address by their first name
