It was a fun one to watch, with a lot of stressful moments. Despite their stories rivalry, I have never been a Yankee hater. They were always a good team that was just better than the Dodgers for most of their WS match-ups. I was really hoping to see another sweep, like 1963 though.

I was young and not quite fully into baseball for the 77 and 78 World Series match ups, but watched every pitch of the 81 series as a kid and ended up very happy.

As far as the Dodgers are concerned when not playing the Yanks though, I was there watching the 2020 series. However the 1988 series was an odd one, as I was in the service and still in naval nuclear power school in Orlando that year and I didn't have time to spend watching TV and at the same time was really not connected to sports like I was before and since, so that one was missed.

I have just relived that feeling I had in 1981, 43 years later. What a way to honor the recent passing of Fernando Valenzuela as a team as well.

As a long-time Dodger fan this World Series was fun, stressful, and surprising. The Dodgers winning 4 out of 5 against the Yankees was a wonderful surprise- considering the Dodgers starting pitching staff. Stressful, especially game 1, but wow what a moment for Freeman to come through. I was 10 when I watched the 74 World Series against the A’s and cried when the Dodgers lost. I was in middle school when the Dodgers played the Yankees in 77 and 78. I hated the Yankees when they came back down from 2 games to the Dodgers(I hated Reggie Jackson and his hip move to break up the double play and his home runs). 1981 I was in high school and followed Fernando. The “Infield” finally won a World Series and I celebrated. 1988 I went to game 2 with my dad the game Orel Hershiser pitched and Mike Marshall hit a home run. 2020 I was happy the Lakers & Dodgers both won championships. It helped to deal with all the Covid crap and personal stuff that was going on. This year’s championship was terrific- It will shut up the critics who say 2020 was a cheap championship, because it was a shortened season. I couldn’t go to any games, but I watched on tv. The Dodgers went through a lot this season with all the injuries- including Kershaw, but Buehler, Flathery, Yamamoto did terrific. The bullpen for the most part was shutdown good. Freddie was spectacular and the Dodgers defense was great

I'm no Dodger fan, but they were the best team in baseball all year long including the playoffs. And 2020 wasn't cheap. The season was short, but the playoffs were still legit.

I heard the same comments about 2020 and they were moronic. Even if the season was 10 games and they played a best of 7 to decide the best team, it would still count.

I know if some people couldn't **** talk about anything and everything, they'd have nothing to say.
