Does Anyone Own A 2004 Diamond Kings Original Artwork?

A collector contacted me regarding the 2004 Diamond Kings Original Artwork Pieceof Chavez. Does anyone own one (Love it, Like It, Its ok, or not worth it)? Also what did it cost if you don't mind sharing that as well.

If you can afford it, get it. It's a great looking piece!

I have the 2002 Grace in my collection. I think it's awesome and have it hanging in my house. I bought it during the original eBay auctions for them. It was the first year they did them for the original art, and they were quite the novelty at the time. I can tell you that minor stars of Grace's and Chavez's caliber sold between $250 to $350, with a few higher anomalies due to collector bidding wars. Subsequent years sold for a little less.

I have the Edgar Martinez from 2005..

The paintings are fantastic and you will enjoy the art if you get it..

I paid $450 on auction when Donruss was putting them on EBAY.. I picked up a couple more for some local collectors at $180 each..

I love them. That being said...a few years ago I lost one in an auction on ebay. My bid was $250 thinking that would get it...it went much higher.

Not Diamond Kings, but I have the Mays Topps Gallery HOF signed on the original artwork and on the card that was issued from the art. Guys from the old Beckett board will know the story.

I bought the 2005 of Lee and Buehrle for $172 and $200 from Donruss when they sold them on Ebay. I also regret not bidding on Aparicio at the last moment, as he only went for about $200. I love the paintings and would buy more Sox ones if I ever found any. I've seen a bunch from 2005 listed over the years, but always at high prices, so I don't think any sold. I think a Maddux from 2005 sold at open auction for only about $200. The ones that I have seen sell seemed to sell for less than I thought. I think it's a great collectible for a team or player collector and you will appreciate it much more once you have it in hand.

I'm not too familiar with frames, but I think it's pretty good. I'm sure it could be better, but I doubt they'll come apart on their own accord. It's not just a couple pieces of wood tacked together on the back like you see so much in the sports memorabilia industry.

Dark Mohogany frame with glass.. well framed for the item.. back is sealed as well..

Oh sure, the question was asked 6 years ago, but now I can say "Yes. Yes I do own a 2004 Diamond Kings Original Artwork." Paid $125, which I thought was a great price.
