Whats everyones view on beckett pricing the cards it grades higher than other grading brands. Do you believe beckett is honestly the best and toughest grading company, thus they sell for more and book higher. Or do you believe beckett values bgs grading higher, thus they end up selling for more.

I think that book value is a moot point to begin with, so any discussion is unnecessary. It doesn't matter if BGS stuff 'books' higher, because BV has very little basis in actual or market value.

When it comes to modern cards, I believe that BGS is the preferred way to go. When it comes to vintage, then it's PSA. At least that's what I thought.

Vintage is actually SGC preferred I thought. The one with the Green labels. maybe im wrong.

Either way, grading is a money scam that has turned into a monster. I dont trust it, especially when you get up into the Mint+ grades.

But to echo what was said above without ranting for an hour, BV doesnt matter at all, the prices are drawn from a hat.

It all comes down to marketing. I use to think they do it to put them ahead of everyone else, but that's a small part of it. I think its because they market themselves heavily in their price guide that gets more people to use them. It is an unfair advantage, but I don't think its a conflict of interest.
