It does not too me but is a clever idea. I think it could have been great if executed differently.
Ya know what. I liked them.
Would have liked them better if they would use this approach with big leaguers. It's like the questionnaires people use for IP autographs to feign interest in the players career so that they will sign.

It's "Mauer" since Joe Mauer was a catcher and Bryce was a catcher when drafted..
