Only if the item is actually signed for. If it doesn't make it to its destination, you'll be out for the value unless you've insured it.

Or if it's damaged in shipping. In theory you would be covered as long as the item makes it to your buyer in advertised condition. On an item over 250, it's worth spending the money to insure it IMO.

When I ship an item that is a 1/1 or low numbered, I ship it insured and REGISTERED..

The Registered is so that anyone who touches the package, has to sign for the package and is responsible for it..

I was talking to the teller at USPS and they said that they heard of a guy that had to pay $25K for an item because he f'd up..
