Here is the latest response I got after getting home from work today.

"For a guy with 100% positive feedback, you're kind of a dick... I asked you to cancel the transaction and you refused... I paid and then didn't get the cards... Sounds like you may have sent something somewhere... But not the cards to me... Negative feedback is coming without a refund in the next 24 hours... Please remember you could have avoided this in a couple ways... Canceling when the buyer asks.. And actually sending the cards... And insuring the cards you do actually send"

Um, did you tell him you sent with insurance? Otherwise that's basically him telling you he's going to mess up the cards and try the "item not as described" bull; and he thinks there's no protetion for you w/o insurance.

Yup, but there is no protection for him w/o insurance. I am starting to think the buyer knows exactly how to mess with the system in place.

These types of transactions are what makes eBay so bad for sellers. But if I've learned anything from eBay it's that I should always have DC, have insurance on anything I can't afford to eat the cost on outright, and bail on sketchy buyers as soon as possible. Some people don't mind getting negative feedback, or even losing money to d-bags, but it's such a waste of my time and energy, i try really hard to avoid these types of buyers, and i will cancel any transaction in a heartbeat to do so. I think in this case you've got your tracks covered, but in the end you gotta ask yourself if it's all worth it. Hopefully eBay nails the guy.

i just seem to recall that a buyer cannot leave any kind of feedback once you file a NPB, whether
he lands up paying or not.
