Don't Know which direction to take my collection in

I really love collecting and browsing the message boards, but im not sure what i want do to with my collecting. I was considering building sets, but not sure. Ive had a few player collections get very large and nice, but i always loose interest, i dont think i wanna player collect, i might just buy stuff that catches my eye and keep as a pc that is FT for other stuff i like

any opinion/comment is appreciated

I only buy boxes of stuff I intend to collate OR a box that is all about the hits (Sweet Spot, Ballpark, etc). I don't "waste" money on stuff like Legendary Cuts, SPx or anything else that'd cost hundreds to put together but provides ZERO value whatsoever.

To get my relic/auto fix, I just turn to ebay, COMC, or the bargain bin/consignment shelves at my shop.

Collect a specific type of card. 3+ color patch, HOF (maybe a particular position) auto's. 3000 hit members cards. 300 game winner cards. Something to that effect.

What about collecting players born in your hometown or born on your birthday?

whatever you decide to collect, FOCUS on that, and do not get distracted by other cards.
