Stubbs was obviously glad to see Cain pulled from the game. As soon as the ball left the bat you knew it was gone if it stayed fair.

horrible clutch hitting by the giants in that game. They should have let Ishikawa hit instead of pinch hitting Renteria for him.

LOL -- In my face!!

2-9 with 5 K's in two games. Can't tell too much from just two games though. Heck, Jay Bruce showed that you can't tell anything from 50 games. The funny stat of the day was that Stubbs was the only guy that Cain struck out today, and he got him three times.

I sound like such a hater. Really, I'm not. I'm just a pessimist.

Looking forward to seeing him hit off a starter who hasn't won/will likely eventually win a Cy Young award.

It's such a relief not seeing Taveras out there. At this point, I'd rather see Dusty's toothpick out there over him.

On a side note, Stubbs or Heisey should have been on the club for a couple months now...at least, he's (Stubbs) up now. He is super fast and plays a great defensive CF. He's had a few great AB's even though they didn't end up that way on the scorebook. I am definitely looking forward to see what he can do.

Agreed...those 2 both cover a lot of ground and have great arms. Maybe the Reds will wisen up and get a LF that could actually hit in the 4 hole next year. Oh well, wishful thinking with Baker-metrics in play.

:D

Going from AAA pitching to Matt Cain will buy anyone some strikeout-forgiveness in my book. Batting .222 and slugging .667 ... what a power-hitting brute.
