Dunk Contest

I was reading that the dunk contest this year is going to be fully fan vote. So you can be pretty much assured that Iman Shumpert is going to win. Especially if Lin is involved like he is rumored to be (helping with passing, etc.).

Too bad there is nothing of Iman Shumpert to get now before he sees a spike.

I never understood the rationale for using only 4 players. Are they trying to protect creativity and keep it exciting year in and year out (i.e. more people in a dunk contest, the more dunks that are physically possible are completed, meaning over time, the contest loses it's luster)? If it's anything other than trying to protect the brand, it's stupid. Even trying to protect the allure is stupid.

This year is probably gonna stink. All newcomers, along with a "one round" contest.

I miss the VC-era dunk contest fun. That said, I am glad to see WKU grad Jeremy Evans in the spotlight (he is probably a no-name to everyone else).

glad shumpert is out because now my dude PG has a chance to win. hes probably the favorite now.

paul george is a name not many people are familiar with right now, but after this weekend will be.
