The Rays are playing a spring training game against the Bulls in Durham this year on Saturday, April 3rd, and we just purchased 4 tickets. We hope to make a day trip out of it and make the 4 hr trek from Kingsport. Anyone else plan on going, should be a great time!

I know I've not been around much lately, so hello again!

Hopefully Durham will put Hellickson on the mound, so the Rays can see firsthand what a boon he would be to their rotation.

Up until this past August I was stationed at Ft. Bragg and I LOVED going up to Durham to watch a game. Have fun! I wish I was there to go.

I've already got tickets to the Greensborro Grasshoppers vs The FLorida Marlins at the exact same time, otherwise i'd be there with ya.

Have fun, and i hope you get some great pics and autographs.

Aside from injury I don't see anyway he is in the rotation this year.

That will be a fun game, have a good time. I recently saw that the new topps heritage had stamp cards and think that is a really neat idea, so I hope to get a few signed at the game, especially the team stamp ad of Longoria, Price and Crawford.

Yeah, definitely send me a message if you want to meet up. We plan on eating at mellow mushroom after the game, since its so close, and hitting the road right afterwards. I think our seats are in section 122. Thanks for the tip on the dog, we'll have to try it out.

Mellow Mushroom will probably be PACKED after the game. I used to eat there before games, because there wasnt one here(gboro) I just plan on enjoying some ballpark food & ill be getting there early so i can be one of the 1st ones in. I hope to get Crawfords auto on his six steal ticket stub & Longos on a Ginter RC or 2, depending on how much theyre signing! I thought about getting one of my crawford Superfractors autographed, but decided on the stub.

How was the game? I was at teh Marlins/Hoppers in G'borro.

Hoppers won in 10. Skipworth homered off Anibal Sanchez and Maybin went yard opposite field.

Game was great! Sounds like yours was as well.

Helly was pitching very well until the grand slam. Used numerous pitches the first inning and fanned Zorbrist and made him look silly.

We had a really fun time but the drive back was terrible, seemed like it took 10 hrs when I believe we made it home in about 3.5.

Funny story though. I purchased 4 tickets, Section 122, Row C, Seats 11-14. When we go to sit down there is no seat 14 and none of the rows in our section had that seat either. Some rows went from 13 to 15 but our row ended at 13. So we sit in seats 10-13, no problem. As seats start to fill I have to move back a row to an empty seat b/c our row fills up. The people behind us ended up having to move completely b/c there was no extra room for their seat 14 person to sit. Still no big deal, I'm sitting directly behind my wife and the girls and chatting with everyone around so it wasn't an issue. The people directly behind me kept commenting that they couldn't sit in their seats b/c I was there but I informed them of the issue and that the two seats they were in would be good for the whole game b/c that guy and his family were moved b/c of the missing seat issue.

Finally in the 5th I was tired of their comments I told them they could gladly have their seats back (remember they were directly behind me, so the view was EXACTLY THE SAME) and I got my fam and left.

In no time the staff had given us 4 new tickets behind home plate.... I should have said something much sooner, haha.

All in all it was a great time, we try not to let silly things like that or annoying people bother us so it was no biggie. We look forward to going back again sometime soon as we love the city of Durham especially the ballpark and downtown area.... just won't be purchasing any seats numbered 14, haha.
