Completely disagree.

Brook Lopez is not going to make Orlando a middle of the road team. They would have still been at the bottom of East for sure. Also, they would have gotten WAY better draft picks for the future out of the Brooklyn deal. This makes absolutely no sense for the Magic.

Also Lopez is a decent piece to have to get another star free agent to want to join the team in free agency. What star is going to sign there knowing the face of the franchise right now is Glen Davis?

Maybe despise was the wrong word, lol. I just think he's one of the most undeserving MVP's ever. It could be much worse though.

I never really had any favorite teams when I was growing up. I always gravitated to individual players instead. Didn't start rooting for specific teams until I got out of high school.

I've had so many discussions about this because I've been a Lakers fan since I started watching basketball as a kid back in the early days of showtime. without the Nash deal I wasn't a fan of the Howard trade because double teaming him in the 4th and even the "hack a Shaq" would have been an issue with his poor foul shooting. Adding Nash means they have a guy who can run the offense and allow Howard the freedom to post up without having to make a move but also will setup the pick and roll which should be very effective with their lineup. Howard needs to mend that back and then hit the gym just to shoot free throws. Bynum could hit them at a 70% clip so no reason Howard can't. Howard will definately bring a defensive presence down low and without having to be the man should develop into a much better scorer. The whole team will need time to gel though but I expect them to be serious contenders. The Jamison deal really helped out the 2nd unit as far as scoring and a couple of the other reserves definately showed some upside last year so if they continue to improve it'll be a huge bonus.

Edited to add: FIRE MIKE BROWN!!! the biggest problem this year may just be him...
