I personally prefer the older prospect autos (i.e walker 2010 sterlings and elites vs the 2013 chromes), yet they still sell generally for the same prices...why is that?

Why do people prefer the chrome in most cases even though its years later? And what do you prefer?

Thought this may be an interesting thread for discussion...

They also tend to be nicer looking, in pro unis and more often on card.

Personally, I've stopped fetishizing BC autos. Most elites just have ugly stickers on them, and I'm purging my collection, even PC guys who only have them, of sticker autos. so i don't buy for that reason. Also I hate seeing airbrushed logos.

I like that Sterling went to on card, so I have started buy more of them from last year's set. Elite? No way for the reasons listed above.

At least comparing Chrome and Sterling.... the main reason why chromes go for more is the difficulty by which to pull them, with the design probably being second.

I actually like elite, especially since some have gone on card.
