Here are a few of the first 9.5 sales on Strasburg and one very notable Pristine Harper sale. The Strasburg Autos are nice flips but on a % basis, the markups on the base chromes are incredible - but then again, it is still early. After watching sales like this I think BGS is going to be receiving Strasburg and Harper Base Chromes en masse.

[phil:1d28nq4z]320538138976[/phil:1d28nq4z] - Strasburg Auto 9.5 - $775 - best offer
[phil:1d28nq4z]140409765489[/phil:1d28nq4z] - Strasburg Auto 9.5 - $739 - best offer

[phil:1d28nq4z]320536821817[/phil:1d28nq4z] - Strasburg Auto 9.5 - $610 - at auction
[phil:1d28nq4z]320536821173[/phil:1d28nq4z] - Strasburg Auto 9.5 - $550 - best offer
[phil:1d28nq4z]320536819323[/phil:1d28nq4z] - Strasburg Base Chrome 9.5 - $90 - best offer

And it looks like a few of these early submiters are receiving favorable grades (as cardtreasury mentioned in his thread) which blows. Think of the Wil Myers Blue Refractor and this Strasburg Blue Refractor linked below. It will be interesting to see where this card ends up.

I am not sure if they are favorable grades, or if they are submitting 100's cards from 10's of case breaks....It is always tought to tell, they could have sent in 500 cards and got 50 gems for all we know....JS

I think the seller's of the stras auto's sold themselves short. I was expecting more, and think they could have got more.

With Stras Autos going up it seems, I was surprised too.

That same guy hit 3 Harper Chrome Pristine 10's...which is insane. He gemmed everything he sent unless he had a MG 9.5.

I wish BGS would add a category to their pop reports, "did not meet MG." Sure it could become cluttered with thousands of cards but it would at least give us an idea of total 9.5s and 10s as a % of total cards subbed. We have no way to judge that statistic at all right now.

I tend to agree here. I think so many Strasburg autographs all hit (graded and ungraded) within about 10 days that the market seemed low. I have one at BGS right now, and I'm hoping for a 9.5 comparing it to others I've seen, but we all know how subjective grading is.
