I'm a huge fan of this dude and he has not disappointed so far.
Including today, he has 39 carries for 397 yards (10 YPC!), and 6 rushing TDs, plus a rec TD making it 7 total. Plus, just watching him you can see how dominant he is. Can't wait to see what he does when he gets 20 carries per game. It's still only the first half today, so he'll easily go over 400 rush yards for the year today. He's on pace for like 1600 yards and 28 total TDs. I know it's early, but he should definitely be getting consideration, especially with Bradford out.
Who are your early frontrunners?

If he only gets 1600 yards an 28 tds he wont get it the hiesman is just a huge popularity contest.

Shonn Greene had 1800 yards an 20 tds an finished 6th in the race an for Best they will play the hole thing where "hes in the Pac 10 an there teams are sloppy"

it will be McCoy or ****** bag Tebow

Watch out for Jacory Harris and The U.
If they go undefeated then he will have a chance but if he looses a game he wont win it

I'd love to see him win just so I can see him show up in the Pink suit he claimed he would.

Its all about flash and hype and Best has both of those this year. As long as Cal stays unbeaten he will remain in the discussion. As of right now USC at home is the only ranked team they play so its not out of the question for them to stay a top 10 team all year.

The award, and rightly so, will come down to Tebow and McCoy

Tebow hands down. I hate Florida being a Tiger fan but I have to give the guy credit.....he is a great college player.

Getting 5 TDs on the road in an ESPN game is a nice start. The key will be the USC game. If held in check, his Heisman hopes go down the drain.

Best is definately the #1 guy at RB, but I don't see how it gets away from Mccoy and Tebow just because of the names sadly.

I think CJ Spiller is more talented and dynamic, but no way he gets enough attention playing for a disappointing Clemson squad. Also, if PSU makes a long undefeated run, Clark may get some northern votes.

Clemson has not disappointed anyone yet and has a big game against TCU next. CJ already has 3 TDs of 60+ yards this year and 15 of 50+ in his career. He is helped having another burner in Jacoby Ford who is the fastest player in CFB (he beat Trindon Holiday straight up during track season), but has a RS Freshman Qb and a sub par O-line.

Best has some nice numbers so far too. I would say Maryland, East Washington, and Minnesota are not the best competition though. Maryland lost to MTSU and Minnesota needed OT to beat Syracuse. The Heisman is going to McCoy or Tebow unless something big happens to those two (ie injuries or multiple ****** games that are losses).
