According to a few people in the video game chat in GF it sucked something fierce.

I tried to get into the Elite demo.

I guess the total control dynamic could be cool if playing 1 on 1 or something, but for a myriad of reasons I wasn't really happy with how it translated to a simulation style gameplay experience - which is what I'm into.

I gave the "Be a legend" mode a try.......figured that could be cool and having the added control could make that mode great, but playing that made me realize how flawed the game was. After 3 qts. (6 mins) the score was 4-0. The CPU didn't even make a shot. The game was filled with players standing around, taking weird shots, no one passing the ball.......and just horrible A.I.

Still shocked they delayed it when it was ready to ship. They were already giving the barebones NBA JAM - so figure if anything they could have just lowered the price. May not be a big loss though - as everything I've read thus far is touting 2K11 as the pinnacle of basketball gaming and the best ever.

I decided I was getting NBA 2K11 the minute I heard Michael Jordan was in the game. Was there any greater tragedy in sports gaming then being deprived of Jordan in his prime? No NBA Jam appearance is a total mockery of all that is right in the world. I still remember playing NBA Live '95 with "Player 99" on the Bulls.

Hey they had Jordan vs. Bird.

But yeah that sucked he wasn't in the games......Though player 99 was still better than when he retired and you had Pete Myers in the starting lineup.

 2k11 is amazing
I started getting nervous after pressing "start" when the game first began. It's awesome. I suck at the game though. There are so many ways to shoot/layup/dunk. I'm used to pressing one button to do all of that for me.

Good thing you're not playing Elite then.
That's cool though if it's still fun even while you're trying to figure it out. I may have to pick it up then - the Jordan modes really do look awesome.

what kind of drugs are you on to play live over 2k for the last 5ish years. 2k has blown live out of the water.

Well, the last basketball game I've played before this was NCAA 2007 and before that was NCAA 2004 (both for PS2).
So the graphics on 2k11 alone amaze me.

I have played the 2K Series since it came out on Sega :o, maybe it wasnt sega but it was before 360 took it over, and did so from day 1 when the 360 came out. I have tried Live and all an other Basketball Games but nothing beats NBA 2k and once I heard Jordan was going to be in the Game I was Blown away. Ive got my copy :) .
