So, I had some extra cash for cards and spent way to much on nothing fancy but picked up 15 Glaus cards from 2003 I needed.

Shipping was clearly listed at $4 in the auction AND because I have bought from them before, I know they combine shipping for free.

I received an invoice and the shipping charges were $34.00. So I emailed to ask why and was told, if you check out our home page, you will see it says shipping is a flat of $4 for all items unless the total is over $100, then its $34.

There is NO mention of this rule in any of the auction pages.

So, Im really worked up about this because clearly I would have just bought 14 cards instead of 15 and kept the total under $100 if I new this rule even exsisted.

I sent a nice email back, stating my case and even offering to pay a "reasonable amount" for shipping but havent received a reply yet.

Am I getting to worked up about this?

Ridiculous. I ship a few hundred packages a month and can say... almost all Ebay sellers charge far more than "covering costs".

I'd never shop with those guys again. Bad business.

$34.00 for 15 cards? I'd contact Ebay about that and see what they say. I believe they have some sort of rules regarding excessive shipping charges. That is absolutely ridiculous.

In fairness, its because they are shipping express international ( for safety reasons ) but its the principal or lying that is pissing me off the most.

I'd just buy more stuff from them and make it over $100. Atleast you will get something for your money.

unreal.

if you are going to pay it, make sure you pay for the listings individually, and have them mail them out individually

You should be able to pay for the 14 cards that total less than $100, and then pay the last card and pay another $4. $8 shipping is much better than $30 plus

+1

$34 is ridiculous. If for whatever reason you do end up having to pay that amount, then ding the seller for both shipping costs, and communication.

You should have read the listing but I would just take the strike, then rebuy the cards keep the total under 100 and pay. Then buy the rest and then pay again. If the guy blocks you just ask here, I'm sure someone will help you out.
