To me the issue isn't about simply a quarter. If it was, I totally agree with Therion; I would have let it go. The overall issue is that the buyer has a pattern of abusive eBaying and paid with a PayPal account that was not linked to his winning bidder account. The op is completely justified in seeing this through.

Until you guys have an interaction with this guy, you don't know the type of idiocy he spews. He ignores logic, reasoning, and common codes of decency.

He has threatened me on many occasions because I wouldn't delete this thread. His (idiotic) threats of having the site "shut down" started on email #1. Yes, that is right he started there and got more and more threatening as he went.

I do get it. I said he was right. I was just questioning this happening to begin with. Had he just accepted the payment that was twenty-four cents short and sent the card, this wouldn't have happened. He could have just blocked him at that point, sent the item, and been done with it. But instead he fought it and it turned into a headache for him and you apparently.

Is theturson and idiot? Of course. Is eBay wrong in this situation? Sure. Was all of this worth a quarter? Not to me. If you and he feel it was worth twenty-four cents, than that is fine. It is a public forum and I expressed my opinion. I was not rude. I did not attack him. I just said that it wouldn't have been worth worrying about to me.

That was all my point ever was. The reaction I received made me understand how he may have come across originally that amped up the situation further.

This is principle. It is not just the quarter, he tried to pay with Paypal account not linked to the Ebay account. He could of then stated he did not receive the card because it was sent to a different addy. Many things wrong with what he did and I back the OP for what he did.

And everyone realizes that Therion doesn't think rico did wrong and that he believes a quarter isn't worth the hassle. You have to state that.

No, it doesn't need to be stated. See, the difference is that he just said he disagrees with me. You called me on it as if I didn't believe what I was saying.

But feel free to act like I'm ridiculous for having an opinion that differs from your own.

I think theturson should come on here and defend himself rather than trying to shut down the site :D

he tried, I wouldn't approve the account because he was trying to register from a public library and refused to use a more standard connection.

Registrations from public access are a bit of a red flag, and I don't allow them without some checking around to find out more about the registrant.

THANK YOU!!! This post has been thanked for articulating exactly what I was about to. This wasn't a dispute over money but an indictment of ebay's policies and their questionable practice of protecting IDIOTS that compromise the ebay community.

Has eBay been asked to remove the retaliatory negs? I can't see them leaving them, especially when there are claims in the feedbacks that are not related to the sales.

eBay removed 18 false negatives (to go with a suspension) left by theturson, only three of those 18 were on my account--the rest were from other sellers.

Now that he's returned from suspension, he's only left six feedback for buyers and they've all been negative http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... tForOthers

http://pages.ebay.com/sitemap.html is a quick way to get to your blocked bidder list; you'll find it under the Selling Activities header.

You should have his personal email address by now; you should visit some of those "less than reputable" sites and sign him up for daily emails.
