There isn't a Yelp or Angie's List for the patrons of businesses (although I guess there is Reddit and Imgur). As a seller I will generally leave FB after a couple weeks, assuming no problems arose. I don't hold it hostage, but it's the only way I have to publicly state information on a transaction. As a buyer, since I buy a lot, I usually go in once a month or so and leave all FB at once. I have only gotten into the stars bit once or twice when something was extremely wrong or right. Other than that, it's too vague to bother about.

FYI, in 15 years I've left over 6000 FB but received just 5300. Once you're up above 30 or so it just doesn't seem to matter.

As someone who sales more than buying, I only leave feedback first for buyer who have high feedback and no red flags. If I have a gut feeling, I don't leave feedback until the buyer has and I know all is good.

The not leaving feedback goes both ways. A month ago I sold a posey auto for $275. Card shipped, he received. I left him feedback, but he has not left me any.

Anyways, anyone else have feelings one way or another about eBay feedback? I mean does anyone REALLY look at a sellers feedback before buying and has decided against buying a card they wanted off a buyer because they didn't like some of the comments people had left him!? I doubt it...

frequently. I see a card I want, check the sellers feedback. If he/she is a slow shipper, I usually don't bid or lowball my max bid since it will likely be a hassle to get the card (i.e. remind the seller to have to ship it 2 weeks after the auction ends). If someone is selling a card but their feedback shows they sell lots of crap and trash and rarely any cards, I don't bid because people who don't sell many cards usually don't know how to package them -- the worst was a card wrapped in a kleenex (not even a toploader) and placed in a paper envelope.

I think I remember something within the last 4 or 6 months that ebay has a reminder program in place to remind people to leave feedback? I vaguely remember seeing that somewhere. Does it exsist, and if so, does it work?

It's called sellers who email you one week after you've paid begging like a * to give you feedback.

Usually it's because I"ve been too busy to leave feedback, I haven't opened up my mail yet because I've been too busy getting my work done on time, or I haven't received the card yet. I guess when some whiney seller requests feedback before the item has been received, I should leave them a negative for card not received. ;)

I saw someone else doing bulk feedback as a buyer. Does anyone else have any issues with leaving feedback as a buyer from the perspective that the system is massively slow? I have tried (although not real recently) to leave more than 25 at a time (I think the option will show up to 100 items on a pay?) and it always faulted the page out. The max I could do was 25, then it would take FOREVER + A DAY to load before allowing me to go back and leave the next 25. As you can imagine, unless I did it daily, if you have 100s of items to leave feedback for, it takes too long to make it worth the time spent sorry to say.

As a seller, I tend to leave feedback once the buyer has paid. in my mind, they paid, their end of it is done. If they dont leave me feedback, then oh well. I guess they might leave it eventually. But I read each and every one of my feedbacks. Its nice to hear a little blurb of positivity in a job well done on my part.

It amazes me how many people on eBay don't know that eBay is taking fees out of your s/h... just because you sell a card for $0.50 but you jack the s/h up to $5, doesn't mean you're getting away with the old school trip of jamming the $ into your s/h to avoid fees. If anything it actually makes you look like a jack a$$ and will probably get you crappy star ratings when it's all said and done and maybe neutral feedback lol.
