Just came here to ask you guys if any of you had received any messages. I never did and didn't know until I saw it on Yahoo this morning. Pretty crappy on ebay's part.

Tried to change mine and got this

[h=1]Page not available[/h] Ebay is asking its users to reset their passwords due to the unauthorized access to our corporate information network. This may result in a delay of service due to the high traffic volume. We ask for your patience and that you return to eBay soon. In the meantime, please be assured that no activity can occur on your account until your password is reset.

Me too. Already changed mine earlier today and now I having issues accessing my ebay page, ebay is asking to change password, but site won't function perfectly for me currently, either. Sounds like they had a MAJOR breach if they are resorting to that sort of message and now crashed functionality of that part of the site.

I never got an email or anything, then a member here sent me link to a card, and when I brought up the link there was a pop up telling me to change my password, clicked on the pop up, it sent me an email, changed my password no problem

I'm just playing it safe. It is actually my dads account, but I use it so I told him about the hack and he let me change the password.

I am going to close EVERY THING! Paypal all my charge cards, close out my bank account. Just very sick of all the hack crap. The world is just starting to suck big time. I do not even get a real check from work any more. has to be direct deposit or debit card. do not even get a pay stub have to see if I got screwed out of hours, have to view paystub on line. This is all getting way out of hand!

To the point where if I don't use direct deposit the bank will charge a $35 monthly fee for "free" checking. It's a joke.

yes, ebay is pretty crappy. The national news sources (AP, USA Today, Reuters, etc.) ran with the story. Ebay didn't say a peep about it on their announcements board for at least 2-3 hours by my count. I had changed my password when a reputable source, the AP, reported the story (otherwise I was beginning to think it was a hoax because ebay had not said squat about changing passwords).

ebay sent the change password email to me saturday and I was hoping I would have to change my new password from a couple of days earlier to something else, but I didn't have to since my button card snipe bid hit and I won.
