eBay is Whack!

I go to list several items today and each time I submit an auction a message pops up stating that my one of my Seller Ratings has dropped below 4.3. Well, this was a big surprise to me. I go check them out and the lowest one I have is 4.6 and that is for shipping time. I guess if they don't receive the item the very next day, I won't get a perfect score. So I emailed them and see what their D/A response is. I would call them, but I never dealt with the CS and I am afraid I may not understand the person anyway. Grrr

Most eBay buyers are too impatient. I shipped a computer via UPS ground (free shipping, plus it was stated that's what I was going to use) to California from Ohio. Took 5 days to get there and the buyer complained that it took too long. 10 years ago that would have been considered super fast.

I offered free shipping on everything this month, and mailed everything same day or next day of payment. My DSRs are only 4.8 and 4.9 respectively. I don't understand these people. Unless it's outrageous ($8 shipping charge, 2 week wait) I never leave less than 5 stars.

What 5 days is what UPS says it takes, and it really does.

What if someone leaves 0 stars across the board, but positive feedback? Does your DSR average include 0s?

I've thought of how this is a clear conflict of interest for members who buy and sell, but thought that reason would win out given the sheer number of registered ebay members. I guess I was wrong... ::facepalm::
