I sold something on ebay without insurance or anything so I dont know why this is happening. Anyways my tracking info states a notice was left at the persons door and they can go pick it up at the PO or request a redelivery. Its been 4 days and they still have not. Meanwhile I have auctions I need to pay for but cant until I know the customer is satisfied. I tried getting it "redelivered", but a request can only come from the receiver not myself. Any suggestions on what to do? The buyer only has one feedback, so I feel like he/she doesnt really know what they are doing to well. WOuld you suggest I call? ANything else I could do?

4 days is not unusual for something to sit at the PO. I've had items that required a signature sit at the PO up to and over a week, simply because I can't get there to pick up besides on saturdays because of their lousy hours. Seriously, 9:30-5 on weekdays? People have to work during those hours. And only open 3 hours on saturdays? geez...but rant aside...

Some people request that their mail be held at the PO for pickup regardless whether it requires a signature or not. Usually these people only pick up their mail once or twice per week. I have neighbors that do that because they're retired and are in Florida half the time, and NJ half the time. Their mailbox fills up too quickly if they don't have their mail held.

What does being new to ebay have to do with one not knowing about how to pick up a package at the PO?

If I were you I would go get it from the post office and it bring it to their house.I am sure they would give you all 5 stars for this.

I had an item delivered on June 8th that needed a signature and i am not able to sign for it at the post office until tomorrow. For people who work full time away from there home, this can be common. I bet the buyer will pick up the item on Saturday

1. What does this customer being satisfied have to do with you paying for other auctions you've won??

2. Why not drop the buyer an email and ask what's up!! :o I know it's a shocking idea to actually COMMUNICATE with the buyer...but it IS an idea.

I dropped him two emails.

As for the other auctions thing, I have the paypal funds in my account but also a credit card to the file. I dont want to pay for my other auctions with the funds only to have him file a claim on said funds. I would rather see if he likes the item and pay for my items with the funds or if he doesnt like it, refund him the funds, and my for my items with the credit card thats on file. seeeeeee?

So the solution is to make the sellers of the items you bought wait to get paid?

Makes sense.

No, I don't "seeeeeee".

That's absolutely stupid and frankly, quite rude to the sellers who are now waiting on you, probably wondering if you're planning on paying.

I can't stand when people wait to receive paypal money to pay for OTHER auctions. Drives me crazy. Look, I usually use sales to pay for winnings, so I never feel like I'm actually paying for anything on ebay/COMC (backwards logic, I know, but it works for me :D ), but the thing is, I don't bid/BIN until receiving money. I don't bid/buy first, then wait.

It's not the seller's fault that I'm a psychopath who pretends virtual money doesn't count. He shouldn't have to wait on me.

ummm yes they will. You have to just change the default over to your Credit card. If you have paypal funds in your account, yes that is the default, but you dont have to use those funds, you can just use your credit card and save the funds.

nevermind im an idiot!!!!!! i just realized my funds were pending anyways because of paypals new dumb policy (which helped me this time), so I was able to use my credit card and all buyers are paid in full! however im almost positive if the funds were not pending, I would have HAD to use them and not my credit card. now hopefully this idiot buyer will pick up his damn item soon, so I can have my funds.

I do not understand why the OP would wait until his customer(s) are pleased before paying for auctions won. Those auctions need to be paid for whether the customer is happy or not and a refund could always be provided via checking account transfer with the usual lag time. In defense of payment procrastination on the order of a few days, I bid on crap all the time knowing funding will come from auctions ending soon, auctions I can post, or a pending pay day. Occasionally a seller will get to wait four or five days for his money. Sometimes by bid doubles the hammer so I doubt most sellers mind although I will get the "when are your going to pay?" question here and there. If a seller states I have x days to pay and I need them then I'm still following the stated guidelines.
