Sorry it's an ebay question. There is an auction I want to bid on and the seller has agreed to sell to me (I live in Canada and he only ships to US but has said it is OK for me to bid). I tried bidding but his buyer requirements don't allow me as I'm not bidding from the US. I asked him if he could change his buyer requirements so I can bid but he said he can't once there are bids on an item.

My question is this: can you change the buyer requirements after a bid has been placed on the auction, I'm sure I've had others do it for me but I can't remember for sure. If you can, do you know how? Thanks.

Buyer Block Exemption List

If you've already set up buyer blocks but you want to let certain users through regardless of the blocks you've set, you can create a list of specific, exempt users. You can use the buyer block exemption list to let specific users through, regardless of the blocks you've set.

Can you do this even if there are bids?

Yes, it's a general setting for all listings. Once placed on the exemption list any buyer requirements will be bypassed.

I have had this happen before. The buyer changed their registration information to place a bid. If this ever happens and you do not want to follow through on the sale you can report the buyer for Registration Fraud and Unwelcomed Malicious bidding.
